The Taruner Swapno 2026 scheme is a flagship initiative by the Government of West Bengal designed to digitally empower students. Recognizing the importance of digital education in the modern era, the state government provides financial assistance directly to the bank accounts of students to purchase smartphones or tablets.

• A one-time financial grant of ₹10,000.
• The amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
• Enables students to access online classes, educational materials, and competitive exam preparations.

Eligibility Criteria

• The student must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Must be studying in Class 11 or Class 12 in a recognized government, government-aided, or madrasah school.
• The student must have an active bank account linked to their Aadhaar card.

How to Apply

Eligible students typically do not need to apply individually.
