Krishak Bandhu (কৃষক বন্ধু) is a massive scheme by the Government of West Bengal providing assured financial assistance to all farmers and registered sharecroppers for agricultural purposes and providing social security to their families.

The financial assistance has been doubled! Farmers with 1 acre or more now get ₹10,000 per year, and the minimum assistance is increased to ₹4,000 per year.

Death Benefit (Krishak Bandhu Death Benefit)
In case of death of a farmer between the age of 18 and 60, the family gets a one-time grant of ₹2 Lakh.
Who is Eligible?
You must fulfill ALL of these conditions:
Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
Must be a farmer or registered Bargadar (sharecropper) having cultivable land in West Bengal.
